Out of Hours
Extended Access
You may also be booked an appointment within the extended access hub. These are appointments in the local area, provided on behalf of the Practice, for Doctors and Nurses, and includes out of hours. The Practice pays for this service to help manage the less complex cases, and minor ailments. The use of these hub appointments means the Practice appointments can be available to provide continuity of care, to those patients with more complicated needs.
These appointments are offered at the following times:
GP
- Tuesday: 4pm to 8pm
- Thursday: 4pm to 8pm
- Friday: 4pm to 8pm
- Saturday: between 9am to 5pm
Nurses
- Tuesday: 3pm to 8pm
- Saturday: Between 9am and 2pm
Healthcare Assistants
- Monday: 3pm to 8pm
Independent Prescribing Pharmacist / Advanced Nurse Practitioner
- Monday: 3pm to 8pm
Telephone Appointments
The Practice also provides evening telephone appointments from 5:30pm to 8pm (by appointment and Wednesday evening only).
Life Threatening
Call 999 or go to A&E now if:
- you or someone you know needs immediate help
- you have seriously harmed yourself - for example, by taking a drug overdose
A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a medical emergency.
Urgent But Not Life Threatening
Visit an urgent care centre if:
- You have an urgent medical issue requiring on the day attention
Non-urgent
Use NHS 111 if:
- You need help now, but it's not an emergency
There will be someone to provide you with advice and to direct you to a clinician if it is necessary.
